Laguna Water spreads the Christmas Spirit in Pangil

A Season of Giving. Ates and kuyas from Laguna Water bring smiles to more than 150 students of Dambo Elementary School in Pangil, Laguna through its Daloy ng Saya program, an environmental information, education, and communication campaign cum gift-giving activity.

Spreading love and happiness this Christmas season, Laguna Water conducted its first Daloy ng Saya in Dambo Elementary School in Pangil, Laguna last December 7.

Daloy ng Saya is a corporate social responsibility initiative of Laguna Water which aims to bring smiles to public elementary schoolchildren in Laguna through an environmental information, education, and communication program and a gift-giving activity.

“Nagpapasalamat kami sa Laguna Water kasi yung lugar namin ang napili nila, hindi ito palaging naaabot ng mga gift-giving activity,” said Dambo Elementary School Principal Rhoda Villanueva.

Travelling three hours away from its office in Santa Rosa, the ates and kuyas of Laguna Water were excited to interact with the students and share gifts and the school supplies they have prepared. “Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na makita yung mga ngiti sa mga bata. Ramdam na ramdam mo talaga na Pasko na,” said Rachelle Andal, Laguna Water Customer Service Manager.

Students gained new knowledge while having fun playing the Daloy Ng Saya, an interactive activity about water and the environment. Laughter and cheers resonated when the children battled for the longest breath and the best in Hep Hep Hooray. Ates and Kuyas of Laguna Water showed their competitive side as they were partnered with kindergarten students for the Paper Dance Challenge.

The spirit of Christmas was truly felt during the Daloy ng Saya program especially when children flash their genuine smiles as they lined up and received their presents and bags with school supplies from Laguna Water employees. 

“Yung makita mo yung saya sa mga bata habang  binubuksan nila yung gifts nila, it was priceless. I am very happy and honored to be part of this activity,” uttered Laguna Water External Affairs Manager Ana Martir.

Laguna Water continues to bring smiles to the people of Laguna all throughout the year through its various sustainable development programs that benefit various communities in the Province.
