Laguna Water allots Php1.2B for Service Improvement and Expansion
Laguna Water is set to conduct various projects related to the improvement of its water network to ensure that customers will enjoy 24/7 availability of safe and clean water.
Laguna Water is spending PhP1.2 billion this year to improve its existing water supply network and facilities, to widen its reach and to expand its services in the entire Province of Laguna.
“Committed to provide our growing number of customers access to sustainable, safe, and clean water, we at Laguna Water continuously seek for opportunities that will help us deliver and ensure excellent customer experience, and will bring significant improvement to our services,” said Shoebe Hazel B. Caong, Laguna Water General Manager and Chief Operating Officer.
The largest water and wastewater services provider in the Province of Laguna will be investing in various water source development; water network expansion, improvement, and rehabilitation; water service reliability projects; and water facility upgrades.
Further, Laguna Water will also start offering used water services, which will aid in improving Lagunenses access to adequate sanitation. The company has upgraded its Sewage Treatment Plant in Laguna Technopark, to include a fully-mechanized septage treatment facility. The upgraded plant will utilize Organica Food Chain Reactor technology for the treatment of domestic used water, a first in the Philippines.
Currently, Laguna Water has more than 130,000 service connections, which include residential, commercial, and industrial customers. With its service improvement and expansion initiatives, the company eyes significant growth it its number of customers this 2018.
Laguna Water is a successful public-private partnership between the Provincial Government of Laguna and Manila Water Company, Inc.
